I played APB for a while and the group I was playing with was extremely solid when it came to combat training. Driving training, however, was not so strong. Getting into a car with a driver you didn't know well was never likely to end well.

I decided to create a driver safety course which required players desiring the cerification to train on a pre-defined course until they were able to achieve a certain time. The course needed to be repeated per-vehicle, as they differend greatly. The time requirements for rapid response vehicles were that the course must be completed in under 60 seconds, and that each hard hit (not just scenery, actual walls or barriers) would add 5 seconds to the ending time.
